These beautifully restored houses in one of the most charming and unspoiled villages on Chios are the result of a partnership between English carpenter Patrick Witham, his partner Maria, and a local Greek builder, Michaelis. Between them they have renovated a selection of village houses, with accomodation ranging from studios for two to whole houses sleeping up to ten people and so perfect for families and groups of friends. They are also very affordably priced. Patrick and Michaelis have taken great care to retain a traditional feel, but the houses are well-equipped with modern facilities including washing machines and electric cookers. Some houses are accessible by car, and some rooms have a proper bathtub as well as the more usual shower room.
The houses include Panayotis House, a spacious stone-built property suitable for families, with spectacular views from its terraces, the cosy Zarta House, sleeping two to three people, and the large Lagos House, which can be rented as a whole for groups of up to ten people, or as two independent properties, the Little House and the Garden House. Maria, an interior designer, has decorated all the rooms in keeping with the traditional style and motifs of the island.
