Ile de France is a small administrative region containing seven departments, and Paris. Our places to stay in this section are all outside the capital – for hotels in Paris, click here.
We have just four recommendations but they are all worth seeking out. One of our old favourites, Au Moulin de Flagy, is an hour from Paris by train and worth considering as a modestly priced alternative to staying in the city.
As elsewhere, our selection of places to stay in Ile de France offers an exceptionally interesting range to choose from: guesthouses (chambres d'hote), restaurants-with-rooms and small hotels. Whichever, they all have the special qualities of hand-picked character and charm we seek out.
We also have a large selection of Paris Restaurants for you to choose from when you're in the capital.
