A reminder of times past, this railway station is now a stylish brasserie. The tables stand where there were once platforms and rails and the waiting room is now a bar. The house speciality is spit-roasted poulet de bresse, agneau, veau or faux filet. For starters, try the caviar d'aubergines or pancetta 'la provencale'. La Gare also serves large mixed salads with a nicely citrus vinaigrette and a wicked moelleux au chocolat amer sauce caramel. Wines from Bordeaux and the Loire go well with the food. Best to eat lunch here on a fine day and combine it with a visit to the Marmottan museum or Bois de Boulogne.
