This archetypal Paris bistro is complete with lace curtains, checked-gingham table cloths, attentive waiters, fabulous food - and locals who treat it like home. Follow their example and tuck into the plat de jour foie gras chaud et lentilles, magret de canard au miel des Pyrenies or turbot sauce hollandaise. The house speciality, veritable cassoulet au canard confit, is the real thing and so is the le flottante Fontaine de Mars. On the wine list is an excellent Cahors house wine at approx 11 euros.
