The Princess Victoria is the latest project of the London born Three Cheers Pub Co. As with their other small hotels, the emphasis is on providing the finest British produce, award-winning ales, fine wines and unpretentious hospitality.
The property was built as a gin palace in 1829 and whilst the recent renovations have definitely seen it transform into a pub-with-rooms, the owners have strived to keep its history alive. The horseshoe bar serves over 100 artisan and big name gins and the five new bedrooms that were installed in June 2018 are individually designed with bespoke gin inspired artwork and named after a classic gin cocktail.
It wouldn’t be a pub without great food, and The Princess Victoria certainly delivers in this respect. What makes it taste even better is that they use small producers from across the British Isles: the chicken and pork is free range, beef is aged in-house, and fish is sourced sustainably from English day boats off the south coast.
There is an in-room breakfast available Monday to Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays breakfast is served in the pub. All guests receive a 50% discount on all food at the restaurant throughout their stay.
