Villa Giulia quietely stands alone, looking out onto the sea surrounded by the hills that are used for growing some of the regions wheat, grapes and olives. This is an ideal base for visiting what is a wonderful part of Italy. Close to the Adriatic highway, Villa Giulia is easy to reach and yet feels totally secluded. Visitors tempted to explore the region as a whole should note that Urbino, Gubbio, Assisi and Perugia are all reachable and make good day trips.
The wood and the gardens have several quiet corners where you can relax, read a book from the library or paint glimpses of the wonderful landscape. In the warm season breakfast is served in the garden overlooking the sea or in the pleasant dining room and, unlike some places we have visited in this area, breakfast offers a good selection of food as well as juices, teas and coffee. Villa Giulia comes highly recommended.
