This is a 20thC mountain chalet in lovely surroundings about 45 minutes from the Italian entrance of the Mont Blanc tunnel. It started off as a restaurant 'Val Ferret Restorante' - and over the years has turned into a homely and rustic hotel in the Italian (as opposed to the Swiss) Val Ferret.
It has a charming, remote location towards the head of the valley. Opposite rises a formidable row of peaks forming part of the Mont Blanc massif. This part of the Val Ferret has no skiing or winter sports facilities, unlike the Courmayeur end. As a result, it is less commercialized, fair value and peaceful. Rooms are small but cosy; white wooden beams dominate the ceilings. The original structure is very much intact, with a few modest alterations to ensure that guests have a comfortable and relaxing experience - but this is far from luxury. A great place for families who want to explore and have a bit of fun. There’s a playground for children.
Activities include mountain walking and cycling, climbing, fishing, golf and more. Children can do archery, mini golf and other games at the Club des Sports close by. In the restaurant you will enjoy home-cooked food using local produce, with traditional regional dishes a speciality.
