Set on the crest of a hill, with rolling vineyards to the south and dense woodland to the north, Casa Isabella in Vaglio Serra is in an ideal location from which to explore the beautiful Italian countryside. The house itself has just as much to offer as its stunning backdrop; a converted farmhouse run by attentive hosts Alessandro and Monica Barritieri, there is a pleasant sitting room with an open fire on colder days, and a beautiful garden where guests can relax in the summer. Rooms are traditionally and tastefully decorated, with wonderful views of the vineyards or the hills.
Despite the peaceful surroundings, there is no shortage of things to do during your stay, from exploring the local countryside of Monferatto on foot or by bike, taking the hour's drive to the seaside at Liguria or enjoying a game of tennis or a round of golf. Food is traditional Italian fare, of the kind served in a family home. Meals are taken in the scenic grounds in warmer months, or by the open fire in the dining room in colder weather.
