On a narrow street just off the Seine, behind a 1930s façade, lies this quirky bistro, usually packed with locals who appreciate the kitchen's finesse coupled with a sense of adventure. Start with the feuilletes d'escargots before moving on to a richly flavoured chausson de lapin aux oignons et romarin, or a vapeur de raie, compote de choux et girolles. The coffee, served with petit fours, is practically a dessert unto itself. The bread is from Poujauran, the favourite baker of French presidents.
