Extremely popular, this rustic, two-storey restaurant, its beams hung with hams and sausages, oozes conviviality. This is the place to enjoy genuine Auvergnat specialities made with ingredients brought direct from the region. Not to be missed are the memorable sausages served with hunks of country bread, hearty potae d'Auvergne, authentic aligot, Salers beef, and warm salads of puy lentils. The cheese platter features the region's coarsely flavoured Laguiole, Fourme d?Ambert, Saint-Nectaire and Roquefort and this is one of the few places to offer the unusual wines of Aveyron: Saint-Pourcain, Chanturgue, Marcillac and Madargue. The charming owner, Francoise Petrucci, is always on hand with a smile.
