The only Indonesian restaurant of note in the French capital, Djakarta Bali is run by a sister and brother team. Service is so pleasant and attentive that one has the impression eating in a grand private house. The Hanafis are quick to point out that the Indonesian archipelago is made up of more than three thousand islands, so their food is predictably varied in style and they try to make it as authentic as possible. The Nasi Goreng (spicy fried rice with chicken, shrimps and vegetables) is outstanding, as are the various satays. The reasonably-priced wines make eating at this pretty restaurant light on the pocket.
