Peace and quiet. One visitor remarked that during her whole time here, she saw 'no more than fifty people on the entire beach.' Nestling in the fishing village of Coverack, the hotel is a second's walk from miles of unspoilt coastline.
Inside, proprietors the House family have gone to great lengths to create a peaceful and calming atmosphere. Rooms are decorated in mellow, coastal tones, which perfectly complement the sea views most visitors will have. Some are smallish, but all are well furnished with more than enough storage space. You can really switch off here: none of the phones has a room, and the area itself has no mobile reception. There is, however, free Wi-Fi.
The hotel has a terrace and a superbly decorated conservatory restaurant, which looks out across the sea. Guests should expect to sit down to top food - chef and proprietor Ric House has a reputation for creating excellent dishes. Ingredients are all local, and, of course, all fish is freshly caught. Service is excellent in the restaurant, as it is throughout the rest of the hotel. The House family have over thirty years of experience within the hotel business, and the welcoming atmosphere is a constant feature of guests' comments.
