Seaview hotel and restaurant
This is a cliff-top hotel with spectacular views, courteous staff; a simple but refreshingly different style – and an interesting history. It was been built in the 1930s as a private, cliff-top home with breathtaking sea views and a Daphne du Maurier character: oak-panelled walls, stone-framed mullion windows. The bedrooms and bathrooms vary in size, and though decorated mostly neutrally, the bigger ones have eclectic wallpaper, art and solid wooden furniture.
Trevalsa isn’t isolated: houses have grown up around it. It is ideal for a beach holiday, but more so it’s a great base for the local sights. The coastal path is literally at the bottom of the garden, reached by a vertiginous metal stairway.
