The best out-of-town alternative
Casa Cairucu has an enviable location away from the buzz of town on the water’s edge of Paraty bay. It’s secluded and accessible only by a gentle 20 min boat ride. Our reporter, Fiona Duncan, says it’s the best alternative to staying in Paraty.
There are three rooms that can sleep up to eight. Each bedroom has a balcony and pretty views across the bay. They’re modestly furnished with light touches of colour and each has its own small bathroom, equipped with showers only.
Its size means it’s well suited for groups, or families, with lots of things to do. For the adventurous there’s paddle boarding and kayaking, and for those who are more relaxed there are hammocks and a beach bar within walking distance.
