Allergy sufferers take note: this could be the perfect hotel for you. Read to the end to find out why. It’s a family-run place that makes a comfortable base for exploring Vienna. The owner, Jean-Phillip Spiess, is most helpful and speaks excellent English. He runs the hotel with wife Nadine and co-owns it with his brother.
The modern bedrooms are spacious and relaxing. Each of the 20 rooms is equipped with the usual facilities, along with air conditioning for Vienna’s summer nights. The majority of the rooms are deluxe doubles but there are also four suites, each sleeping up to three.
If you don’t mind eating to a backdrop of canned classical music, then you’ll enjoy breakfast; a hearty mix of cheese, bread, eggs, cured meats and fruit to set you up for a day of sightseeing. The hotel is located just two minutes from the closest metro stop and ten minutes from the Museum of Applied Arts.
Pets are not welcome as the hotel is strictly allergy friendly and complies with ECARF standards. Dairy and gluten free alternatives are available for breakfast; synthetic pillows and blankets are supplied as standard; anti-dust mite mattress and pillow covers are available on request. The rooms are also meticulously cleaned using a central vacuum system to ensure no dust is left behind.
