This hotel has been cleverly designed to provide everything which the overnight traveller or long-stay holidaymaker could wish for - made to measure. Extensions with red-tiled roofs have been added to the original old mill to form an integrated complex of rooms and suites, four sides of which enclose a lush, secluded cloister. Rooms are bright, modern and well decorated, with tiled floors and patterned fabrics. The choice of accomodation is particularly flexible for families with children.
Although parts of the hotel are old, there's no museum feeling, but rather a highly efficient and comfortable hostelry. There's ample room for everyone in the spacious grounds. The swimming pool is equally serious and professional, and is flanked by impressive strands of oleander. The excellent cooking and the wine cellar reflect the personal passion of the owner, M. Gonzalvez, the son of a vigneron. Quite a number of English wine merchants make this hotel their base to sample the wines of the Corbieres. A warm welcome is assured from the Gonzavelzs and their labrador, Jeff.
