An excellent bargain for those who like the quiet rural life. Situated in panoramic northern Umbria between Citta di Castello and Gubbio and decorated in authentic rustic style, guests of La Cerqua can enjoy long walks in the oak forests between meals of hearty Umbrian fare. It is still a working organic farm, and the fruit from its trees goes to make the jam and liqueurs served in the guesthouse and for sale in the farm shop. The wood burned in the open fireplaces all comes from the farm's own forests. In addition to a small fishing lake nearby, there is horse riding, bikes for guests to use, and a lovely acorn-shaped swimming pool.
